KSRTC bus tracking: see where your bus is right now.
ಕೆಎಸ್ಆರ್ಟಿಸಿ ಬಸ್ ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಕಿಂಗ್ · ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಸ್ ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ?
Track KSRTC bus live location without a driver app. Riders on board share their position, Ask Bengaluru combines them, snaps the bus to the road and shows its next stop, running status and delay against the KSRTC bus timetable. It works for KSRTC, KKRTC and NWKRTC buses across 243 bus stands, free and anonymous.
Every tracked bus in Karnataka, right now.
Filled dots are buses whose riders are sharing (LIVE) or were sharing in the last ten minutes (RECENT); hollow dots are where the timetable says a bus should be (PREDICTED). Tap a bus for its route, status and stand timetable.
Positions come from riders sharing in the Track My KSRTC app (aggregated, anonymous). PREDICTED buses are placed from the timetable and are not confirmed. Map tiles © OpenFreeMap, data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Checking live buses…
Crowdsourced KSRTC bus tracking, not a driver app.
The corporations do not publish live positions for ordinary services, so the riders themselves are the signal.
1 · A rider shares
Someone on the bus taps “I am on this bus” in the app, or has automatic sharing on. Their phone sends its position every few seconds while they ride, with no name attached.
2 · Positions are combined
When several riders are on the same bus their fixes are clustered, weighted by GPS accuracy and smoothed. Phones that are off the route, standing still or moving the wrong way are ignored. The bus is snapped to the actual road.
3 · Everyone sees it
People searching that route see the bus on the map and in the list with its last update time, confidence, next stop and delay. When sharing stops, the bus keeps moving as a prediction for up to 45 minutes.
Every tracked bus tells you how fresh and how sure it is.
Riders are sharing right now. Shows “updated 20 s ago”, how many are sharing and the confidence (high when two or more agree).
The last position is under ten minutes old. Still useful for a bus between stops; confidence fades with age.
Nobody is sharing. The position is estimated from the last GPS fix (dead reckoning) or, when there was none, from the timetable and the route's usual speed, with an uncertainty in km.
No rider has shared this trip yet and it is outside its running window. Scheduled time, via towns and bus number still show from the timetable.
Alongside the status you get the next stop with minutes to go, the expected arrival at your own stop, “Left 07:08 (+8 min)” against the scheduled departure, the registration plate confirmed by riders, and via towns learned from real tracks. The same pills appear on every stand and route page of this website, so you can check KSRTC bus running status in a browser too.

KSRTC bus tracking: questions
Does KSRTC have live bus tracking?
KSRTC does not publish live positions for ordinary services, so Ask Bengaluru builds KSRTC bus tracking from riders: when a passenger on board taps “I am on this bus” (or has automatic sharing on), their phone's GPS is combined with other riders on the same bus, snapped to the road and shown to everyone searching that route. KKRTC and NWKRTC buses work the same way.
How do I track a KSRTC bus live?
Search your route or bus stand, open the bus and look at its status pill. LIVE means riders are sharing right now; RECENT means the last position is under ten minutes old; PREDICTED means nobody is sharing, so the position is estimated from the last fix or from the timetable; NOT TRACKED means there is nothing yet. The app also shows every live and predicted bus around you on a map.
How accurate is the KSRTC bus live location?
A tracked bus carries a confidence label. High means two or more riders agree within a few hundred metres; medium is a single rider with a good GPS fix; low is a prediction. Every position shows when it was last updated, and predictions show an uncertainty in kilometres.
Can I see where my KSRTC bus is before it reaches my stop?
Yes. Open the bus from your boarding stop: you see the stops it has passed, the next stop with minutes to go, the expected arrival at your stop and whether it left its origin late. The app can remind you before departure.
Is KSRTC bus tracking free? Do I need to register?
It is free with no sign-up. Sharing your own position is optional and anonymous: only aggregated positions per bus are stored, never names or phone numbers. The Android app is a free download from this site.
Which buses can be tracked: KSRTC, KKRTC or NWKRTC?
All three Karnataka corporations. Ask Bengaluru covers 243 bus stands and 71,082 scheduled departures a day from KSRTC, KKRTC (Kalyana Karnataka) and NWKRTC (North Western Karnataka), so any of those buses can be tracked once a rider shares it.
